We are partnering again this year with Ramey-Estep Homes to provide Easter baskets for each of the youth in Ramey’s residential program. The ages of the children range from 12-17. You can help by filling or sponsoring a basket. To fill a basket, you can pick up a basket (with grass included) at one of three locations: Second Hand Rose Furniture (3205 13th Street, Ashland), Re-group (835 Central Ave., Ashland) or the Circuit Court Clerk’s office in Catlettsburg (Tracey Kelley, Clerk). We will add a New Testament and Youth Devotional to each basket before delivery on Easter morning. If it is easier to sponsor a basket, you can do that for $15.00.
This is a great project for Youth Groups, Sunday School Classes or as an office event. As of the time this was written, one day after posting the event, more than 45 baskets of the 86 needed have been taken for filling, a donation of $100 was received to assist with purchasing the baskets and grass. Thank you to Teresa Hayes from the Nazarene Women’s Ministry for donating $100 that was used to purchase baskets and grass and to Beth Barber, the youth ministry leader for Catlettsburg United Methodist Church for taking 22 baskets to fill.
